In the Bay Area, the Bright Yang energy of being the go-getter, the all-nighter Inventor is revered. However, we need to recognize the Sister Yin energy that is calm, dark, and mysterious which recharges our batteries, building up our immune system, and nurtures our connection with our self. I believe East Asian Medicine is a path to self-healing because it emphasizes our need to be aligned with nature and respect the boundaries of our body. We are in a culture that elevates efficiency and being “ON” at all times; but then we have pervasive insomnia, anxiety, depression, pain, and other effects of stress. When we realize that the “OFF” button is just as important as the “ON” button, we will find balance and rejuvenation that fosters restful sleep, happy digestion, less pain, and more creativity. Raven Acupuncture Clinic is really about the “dark side” – the dimming of the lights, turning down the base, and enjoying the quiet
movement of Qi energy while the body resets with acupuncture and herbs.

Her treatments are part of an intuitive process and she provides acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping, moxibustion, and other ointments/salves. She emphasizes patient self-care and individualized lifestyle changes such as stretching/exercises, ideal foods/drinks for a particular body constitution or health issue, whole foods cooking, and healthy living habits.
